    Explorer Comprehensive Package

    9th and 10th Grade

The students who feel most confident on application day started the conversation early. The Explorer package gives 9th and 10th graders four meetings per year with Robin, focused on building the foundation that makes everything in junior and senior years feel manageable rather than overwhelming.

Together, students and Robin map out a rigorous four-year course plan rooted in academic interest, complete career and strengths assessments, and begin identifying the extracurricular experiences and enrichment opportunities worth pursuing. The goal is for students to develop a real sense of who they are and where they're headed, early enough to act on it.

Students who complete the Explorer package move directly into the Launch package in junior year, ready to build a college list and application from a place of clarity and confidence rather than a last-minute scramble.

    Launch Comprehensive Package

    11th and 12th Grade

The Launch package is Robin's most popular offering, built for students who are ready to do the real work of finding the right college and putting together a strong application. Starting junior year, monthly meetings cover course selection, extracurricular strategy, resume building, and the full arc of the college search - list building, testing, financial aid, and everything in between.

The summer before senior year, meetings shift to weekly. That's when the application comes together - essays, the Common App, supplements, letters of recommendation - and having consistent, focused support during that window makes all the difference.

Students who want the full 9th-12th-grade experience start with the Explorer package and move seamlessly into Launch in junior year.

    College List Package

11th Grade or Early 12th Grade

Finding the right college starts with knowing the right questions to ask. Before our meeting, students complete a series of guided exercises that help them articulate what they're looking for across Robin's Four P's framework: People, Place, Passion, and Price. That preparation makes our time together more focused and the resulting list more accurate.

From there, we meet for a one-hour Zoom session where Robin gets to know your student's full profile - transcript, extracurriculars, preferences, and financial considerations - and builds a customized list of 10 best-fit colleges, balanced across selectivity and matched to what your student actually values.

Families who use this package as a starting point leave with a clear, strategic foundation for everything that follows - and a list of schools their student is excited about.

    The Essay Workshop

    Summer Before 12th Grade

The college essay is the one part of the application that is entirely the student's - and it's often the hardest part to start. The Essay Workshop provides students with the structure, framework, and individual attention to write a personal statement that reflects who they are and stays with the reader.

Across five one-on-one sessions, students work through Robin's complete essay curriculum: brainstorming and topic selection, writing craft and voice, structure and outlining, and drafting and revision. Every student starts somewhere different - some arrive with pages already written, others with no idea where to begin - and the process meets them exactly where they are.

Students also receive Robin's Essay Guidebook, a dedicated resource that supports every stage of the writing process, from the first idea to the final draft.

Supplemental essay sessions are available to Essay Workshop students at an hourly rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of students do you work with?

With 15 years of classroom experience and a strong background in differentiated instruction, I bring a unique advantage in meeting students where they are and providing scaffolded assignments to help them meet deadlines. While I work with all types of students, I am especially passionate about supporting those with executive functioning challenges. I also advise students with 504 plans and IEPs on accessing accommodations and services in college, ensuring all students are equipped for success.

What is the cost of your services?

Pricing depends on your student’s timeline and needs. Please contact me directly for detailed package and pricing information.

Do you guarantee college acceptance?

No. I do not guarantee admission to specific schools, nor should any consultant. My focus is on helping your student find and apply to their best-fit colleges, guided by the ethical standards of my professional associations.

What can parents expect from my service?

I prioritize clear communication and transparency throughout our collaboration. Families are involved from the beginning, and all expectations are clearly outlined in a contract. After each session, I document progress and send meeting notes and assignments via CounselMore and email, ensuring both parents and students are informed of next steps and deadlines.

Will you write my student’s college essay?

No. I support your student through brainstorming, outlining, and editing, but all essays reflect their authentic voice. I provide feedback and light editing for clarity and flow, ensuring the final essay is truly their own work.
